Kitchen Concert

All the photos below this post were taken at one place, the Aubuchon Kitchen. Now I didn't plan on taking any photos tonight, an opportunity just fell into my lap. I was walking back into Aubie from Commuter and I saw a bunch of people in the kitchen. When I walked in, there was a bunch of people and a band setting up. So I ran upstairs and grabbed my camera, and I managed to get back down before the band started playing. I set up my camera, using my 24-70mm lens and Speedlite 430EX flash, and as soon as they started playing, I started snapping pictures. I have very little experience in band photography and it is something I have always wanted to do. After seeing my cousin's photos (www.distortedperspective.com) some time ago I became inspired to try my hand at band photography. Tonight I took a lot of photos, but I have selected only a few to put up here, and many of them have been processed to enhance the subjects of the photos. Personally I think I did a pretty good job, even though I have not had a lot of experience doing band photography. Many of them are long exposure with the flash shot which gives them that interesting look. Band photography is somethign I really want to do, so if anybody has any suggestions of what I can do better or any events I can photograph, please send them my way.
